Board Members are elected to their specific office according to the SIG Bylaws. Terms are staggered, so that the board can maintain some consistency and support transition to its newest members. All committee activity and special projects are done under the oversight of the board role for that respective area. |

Board Officers provide oversight for several major areas of activity. The Communications Committee is responsible for Newsletters, Web Maintenance, Outreach and Marketing. The Membership Committee is responsible for recruitment and retention, and supporting the Yahoo Community. |
